Bringing trust to the job market

It is commonplace for job seekers to exaggerate their professional credentials, or to outright lie about them. When looking at a CV, recruiters have to choose between either trusting it on faith or carrying out costly background checks.

We propose a decentralised record of people’s professional achievements and employment history to be stored on the blockchain. Individuals can request references from organisations (such as universities and companies), and organisations can in turn request reviews from individuals. People can then use these blockchain records attached to their identity to create a certified CV. Identity verification can be provided as a service by third parties for both individuals and organisations.
