The objective of this project is to produce an open Urban gaming platform called ExoGame, in this case specifically targeting advertisement panels. The idea is to identify urban resources, geo-reference the resource, define interaction rules and integrate (when relevant). This allows the build of a resource active mapping of the various urban gaming points. These mapping points are then exposed via an open API, which would allow the building of games on top of it.
The platform will enable the user to register and will maintain a track of the usage and interaction with the various Urban resources. This information can be used for billing, analytics and predictive analytics.
The proof of concept (PoC) that will make use of ExoGame API will be a simple augmented reality game where the player will have to hunt for clues on advertisement panels to unlock treasures. This game will be developed for iOS platform.
