Further development
Next steps
We believe that our project has great potential to be used in many industries where users have too many displays or windows to work with and need a faster way of organising the workspace (such as investment bankers), as well as industries where touchless interaction with multiple displays can be used in hygienic environments (such as surgeon not being able to touch some surfaces).
We were unable to complete one of the given requirements fully - build a Windows 11 application using Windows Fluent design. This application was supposed to have drawing, annotating, transforming, grouping and sharing functionalities. These functionalities can be achieved using third-party applications while running our MotionInput project. Our solution allows users to touchlessly switch between displays and easily grab and move windows across multiple screens, which was the main requirement of our project.
In future iterations of the In-Air Multitouch with Multiviews project, the developers can add support for the left-hand navigation, add threshold angles to the MFC settings menu, create a separate sketching application that would support multiple displays and add more gestures.
Our team has created a solid base for these features to be added in future development.
