Teachers notes:

We attempted to follow the competitive model of teaching, and so we stuck to relatively simple examples of how to use the d3 library. We decided that the best method of teaching would to be to give students the tools to be creative, and then to give them the least hand holding. The lessons err on the side of underexplaining in order to encourage students to think for themselves and collaborate, in the hopes they create something truly spectacular!

Included with these files are all the materials needed to get started with d3, as well as some simple JS and the bootstrap framework. If you want to repurpose the final project so that students make a website or portfolio, then all the tools to do so are included here!

Apart from this, the previous notes still hold true, and we encourage setting up students with a VM dev environment or vagrant setup so that they can experiment in a safe, disposable environment. Best of luck, and we hope students enjoy the course!
