Introduction to the Lessons
The lessons in this curriculum will be a tool to help the students create a
program to light up more or less LEDs on the Engduino depending on
how much the Engduino is shaken. The learning theory this project is
based on is Competitive Learning. To implement this, the students will
work individually on the lessons and exercises but after completion of the
exercises will work in Groups of two to carry out the project. There will be
ranks given to the first, second and third places for the first three teams to
complete the task.
We believe the use of competitive learning and our STEM project will
merge well it will help the students get a grasp of the STEM topics covered
in the curriculum. The combination of this project and learning theory will
lead to the students experiencing a practical part of the curriculum and
push them to think outside the box and provide creative solutions to the
problem given.
Note: The project to create the program involving the LEDs and
accelerometer will be given after completion of the tutorials and exercises.
