Scribal Handwriting is a desktop-based tool that allows researchers and archivists to improve their workflow in analysing ancient manuscripts. The tool allows users to select a particular character from a document and returns all similar occurrences with matching characteristics from documents of the database.

The request of such system arises from paleographers which require a faster and more accurate way to look for similarities between scribes and quicker alternatives to identify the time period of an unlabeled manuscript. as the most relevant problem is the difficulty in achieving these results manually or with traditional procedures in sensible time.
