GDPR

MotionInput Bluetooth Controller does not currently store and process any user information. Any video taken using the camera for use with MotionInput is not stored locally and is not transmitted to any device over Bluetooth. The app does not collect or store any data about the user. MotionInput Bluetooth Controller is therefore GDPR compliant.

Source Code License

Our software operates under a closed-source license model, which means that the source code is not made available to the public. Users are granted a license to use the software according to the terms outlined in the End-User License Agreement (EULA), but do not have access to the underlying source code. Access to the source code is restricted to authorised personnel within our development team and UCL examiners.

Privacy of Data

MotionInput Bluetooth Controller respects your privacy and is committed to protecting any information that you provide while using our mobile application. This Privacy Statement explains how we handle data collected by MotionInput Bluetooth Controller.

  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT: We do not collect any personal data from users of MotionInput Bluetooth Controller. Our mobile application is designed to function without the need for personal information, and we do not gather, store, or process any personal data.

  2. DEVICE PERMISSIONS: MotionInput Bluetooth Controller may require certain permissions to access device features necessary for its core functionality, such as accessing the camera or microphone. However, we do not collect or transmit any data from these features.

  3. DATA SECURITY: While we do not collect personal data, we still take data security seriously. We implement reasonable security measures to protect any non-personal data collected by our mobile application from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

  4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES: Our mobile application does not integrate with any third-party services that may collect personal data. We do not share any information with third parties.

  5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY: MotionInput Bluetooth Controller does not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete such information.

  6. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT: We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Statement at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Privacy Statement within our mobile application. Your continued use of MotionInput Bluetooth Controller after any changes to this Privacy Statement will constitute your acceptance of such changes.

END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA) FOR MotionInput Bluetooth Controller

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING THE SOFTWARE.

  1. LICENSE GRANT. MotionInput ("Licensor") hereby grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software titled MotionInput Bluetooth Controller ("Software") in accordance with the terms and conditions of this End-User License Agreement ("Agreement").

  2. USE OF THE SOFTWARE. (a) You may install and use the Software solely for your personal purposes. (b) You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software, except as permitted by applicable law. (c) You may not sublicense, lease, rent, loan, distribute, or otherwise transfer the Software or any rights under this Agreement to any third party. (d) You may make one copy of the Software solely for backup or archival purposes.

  3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS. (a) The Software and any copies made by you are the intellectual property of Licensor and its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. (b) You acknowledge and agree that all title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Software shall remain with Licensor and its licensors.

  4. SUPPORT AND UPDATES. (a) Licensor may provide support services and/or updates for the Software at its discretion. (b) Licensor may discontinue support for the Software at any time without notice.

  5. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NONINFRINGEMENT. LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THE OPERATION OF THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

  6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF LICENSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  7. TERMINATION. (a) This Agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by destroying all copies of the Software. (b) Licensor may terminate this Agreement immediately if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software.

  8. MISCELLANEOUS. (a) This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Licensor concerning the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, proposals, negotiations, representations, or communications, whether oral or written, concerning the subject matter of this Agreement. (b) This Agreement may only be modified by a written amendment signed by both parties. (c) If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected. (d) This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Jurisdiction].
