PROBLEM STATEMENT
At present, a large influx of patients are coming in to receive treatment from the National Health Service Wales (NHSW), especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Consequently, it is imperative for the NHSW to provide the best quality of treatment to patients
as outlined by the
Welsh Government's Health and Care Standards. Since doctors
are becoming busier over time, the care quality provided by the clinicians from NHSW may be affected and this can cause a huge disruption in the healthcare services of the nation.
OUR SOLUTION
In line with the constant need of top-notch care services, our team has come up with an idea on how to help clinicians evaluate themselves for keeping their care quality in check. That is how Care Quality Dashboard, or CQD in short, was created. CQD is
an web application which allows clinicans from various different departments to self-report their progress in care services provided to patients. This platform also provides an intuitive interface for supervision on clinicians
as an effort to maintain patients' satisfaction by the services provided.
PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT AND IMPACT
Through the integration of our system into the NHSW, clinicians have been able to continuously self-evaluate and measure the quality of their services against the NHSW standards. On top of that, Head-of-Departments, too, are able to supervise fellow clinicians
in an effort to ensure constant quality treatment. This should lead to open honest conversations about medical staff progress. As a result, we hope that the clinians are able to see their improvements over time accross different
medical practices by using the Care Quality Dashboard improved with the multidashboard feature.
