During the Christmas holiday, our first priority was to finalise our literature research and start considering the actual development.

We began by setting up a Linux environment (specifically Ubuntu) within a virtual machine and explored several open-source tools for monitoring and collecting system information. Additionally, we conducted research on Intel’s 12th Gen Processor architecture by reviewing relevant documents, web pages, and source code. This allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying hardware and how it interacts with the software we were developing.

In the next few weeks (beginning of the second term), we aim to start implementing the service of monitoring main system information. Excited about actual DEVELOPMENT!
