Speaker Recognition Prototype: RISE 2

Our Client

RISE is the Research Centre of Excellence in Cyprus focusing on Interactive media, Smart systems and Emerging technologies aiming to empower knowledge and technology transfer in the region. Their mission is to undertake world-class research within Interactive media, Smart systems and Emerging technologies in order to drive innovation across multiple industrial sectors creating social and economic benefit.

Context

We are working with RISE Cyprus on a team-based project which focuses on Machine Learning. We are constructing a web application prototype to be used by a Telecommunication Provider company for verifying the customers in recording calls. This technology will help in identifying the callers faster by using voice biometrics.

Project Description

Problem Statement: A Telecommunication Provider company receives thousands of calls per day and needs to improve its customer service by verifying the customers in recorded calls. A part of the evaluation process is the verification of the customer which is a difficult task in the case this is not done by the call operator during the call.

Our Solution: We came up with a speaker recognition prototype to help the call operator to identify faster the person, rather than asking the caller. Thus, the calls are recorded and saved for further evaluation by the Quality Control department of the company.

Achievement and Impact: The application will help the company to decrease the time needed for the evaluation process and improve its services, increase customers and revenue. The impact of this application will help both sides.

In this section, we are adding a video which will show the progress of our prototype. The purpose of this part is to demonstrate the key functionalities of our project at this point. Our goals that we had in first term were fully accomplished, but there is still a lot of development to be made.

- Reliability: The web application should have a data uploading function that is smooth, efficient and reliable.
- Functionality: Our prototype should show our main goal for this project which is to record the voice of the person/client.
- Flexibility: Our prototype will not just only record live, if you need a sample, but there is also a option for uploading files.
