In carrying out our project, we have diligently ensured the integrity of our data practices and strict adherence to relevant legal frameworks, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and established ethical guidelines.
The essence of our project is the aggregation of environmental data, a category that ordinarily does not encompass personal identifiers. Therefore, the typical concerns associated with personal data privacy are not principally pertinent. Nonetheless, we uphold a steadfast commitment to data confidentiality and will not release any source code or gathered data that incorporates OWidget’s proprietary assets without explicit authorization.
The repository that hosts the source code is configured as private, safeguarding the intellectual contents therein. Disclosure of any part of this repository is subject to the express approval of OWidgets. Intellectual property rights for all materials produced during the project timeline are retained by OWidgets, and a complete transfer of these rights is executed upon the end of the project, in alignment with the stipulated deadline and according to the predefined project specifications.
In the development of our system, we have integrated esteemed external libraries, including but not limited to Numpy, Pandas, PyTorch, and Flask. These libraries are accessible under Open Source licenses, allowing their complimentary use within our project parameters.
We believe that our professional conduct and stringent policies regarding data and intellectual property not only comply with legal obligations but also reflect our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of data ethics and stewardship.
