Abstract

Recycling has always been considered an essential task to save energy, resources, and the environment. Nonetheless, many people are not even aware of what are recyclable or not. Recently, many renovative products made from recyclables have been invented and commercially available. Despite countless efforts made by environmental movements and business, many people are not willing to take responsibility for recycling as there is no strict policy related to recycling in the UK. Plus, lots of recyclables are not being processed and delivered to manufacturers properly. This does not just apply to recyclable like plastic, but also to tonnes of reusable products including edible products are being wasted every year.

Our aim is to gamify the process of recycling/donating to help manufacturers and charities receive the raw materials or food that they need, enabling manufacturers to further use recyclable materials in their products and thus transforming the seemingly mundane experience of recycling into a meaningful one. Our solution provides motivation and direction for recycling while satiating the demand for particular materials or items.

Our mobile app provides a tangible rewards for people in order to motivate them to develop a strong commitment to recycling and donation all while simultaneously tackling the issue of recycle plants being overwhelmed with materials that aren’t properly made use of in addition to creating demand to perform charitable acts.
