Abstract
The Monitoring and Engagement Module enhances environmental conservation by integrating multimodal RAG and large language models to support real-time data collection and interaction. Through the ChatLincs platform, users can upload multimedia content such as images and location data to report environmental issues, lost animals, or conservation activities. The interactive dashboard provides a clear overview of tasks categorized by status—Todo, In Progress, and Done—allowing for streamlined coordination of fieldwork and volunteer efforts. A geospatial search tool enables users to locate relevant content within a set radius, while the chat assistant offers instant recognition and descriptions of uploaded images, helping users identify species or objects. These features together foster a user-friendly, community-driven system for managing environmental data and actions efficiently.
Features
Multimodal AI Assistant
1. AI-powered chatbot for text-based interactions and ecosystem-related queries.
2. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system enabling semantic search across text, images, audio, and video.
Interactive Map & Geospatial Integration
1. Dynamic map interface enabling users to search using address, keywords, and adjustable radius.
2. Visualizations powered by OpenStreetMap and Leaflet for intuitive spatial data representation.
3. Event geotagging for reports such as lost pets, wildlife sightings, and environmental changes.
Task Management System
1. Kanban-style interface (similar to Trello) with three task categories: "To-Do," "In Progress," and "Done."
2. Supports task prioritization (High / Medium / Low) and custom tags (e.g., Pollution Control, Reforestation) for categorization.
File Upload & Data Storage
1. Accepts multiple file types (images, audio, video) for uploading environmental observations and evidence.
2. Integrated geotagging to enhance event tracking and archival accuracy.
3. Drag-and-drop upload functionality ensures a smooth and user-friendly experience.
