How far can we get?
We actually were able to fully complete the first level with just one hand and speech!
Our MFC GUI gives you default phrases, but allows you to change them dynamically as you can see at the start of the video where Chris changes the bind for "Shoot" to "Apple".

To allow for the widest variety of users, we designed specific modes for sitting and standing users, and those who can use two hands or just one. Each experience is tailored to the user's needs, with the goal of making the game as accessible as possible.
How do they work?
For users who can use both hands, one hand is designated as the "primary" hand, and the other as the "secondary" hand. In the case of Spider-Man, the primary hand is responsible for camera movement, and the secondary hand for selecting hit triggers. Included in our demonstration is the Spider-Man "Thwip" gesture, which is used to swing around the city.
Although enabled in all modes, speech commands are designed in mind for users that can only use one hand. They allow you to clear the level and control everything else that would have otherwise only be achievable through buttons or hit triggers.
To achieve this, some speech commands actually bind to a macro that combines multiple actions. For example, "Shoot" actually shoots 6 times repeatedly as users are unlikely to ever want to shoot only once.Standing users are also able to use the "walk" gesture, which tracks feet and leg movement to allow for walking around the city. Sitting users can use speech commands such as "Run", "Walk" and "Jump" to move around.
Behind the Scenes
The team decided to work on the many modes of the current spider man Motion Input implementation and record videos demonstrating each of the capabilities. Abid and WeiYi were able to record their footage at home and therefore were able to work with Chris to finalise the MFC implementation of the PseudoVR settings. David and Taha were able to film their videos on Wednesday and sent the work to WeiYi who edited all the clips together to be demonstrated.
Upon completion of the task the team has been asked to help team 32 with implementing FIFA into MotionInput over the Winter Holidays.
