Coming Up to Reading Week

This week we turned our attention to focusing on evaluating which games we would prioritise and take on to the end of the project. Abid had recorded many videos of himself doing different gestures which could be used with the different games.  

On Tuesday we tested out different gestures with different games like Wii Sports and Street Fighter V. We also explored the possibility of local multiplayer capabilities for different games, we decided it was something to think about once our priorities were met. 

Professor Costas Stylianou from Intel also came to see what we had done on both gestures and poses, and we demonstrated the capabilities of both. He recorded videos to show to different departments of Intel such as the Esports department and the accessibility department. Later on in the week we recorded a demo video showcasing the capabilities of both the pose recorder and gesture recorder. 

Reading Week

Over reading week, Abid would go on to implement the gesture recorder and detector into MotionInput as well as a more simplified way to make modes for different games.  

Taha went on to implement left joystick controls for movement in games. For the future we will continue to develop the gesture capabilities whilst implementing a gesture recorder MFC to be bundled with each game.
