Developer Interview
Tell me about yourself, what’s your job like, and how long have you been working on it?
I am a motion input developer. I have been working on it for a few months.
Have you ever considered showcasing your app on a website, or is that something you're interested in?
I haven't had the opportunity to display my app on a website yet, but I believe it could provide great exposure for users.
What specific content would you like to showcase on the website, and how would you like it presented?
I'd like to feature content such as a title, user reviews, and cute, user-friendly icons for enhanced accessibility. Additionally, I envision incorporating graphics and demos, where users can interact with the content by simply knocking their heads to play videos.
In what format would you prefer to collect feedback from your users to ensure accessibility and user-friendliness?
I'd like to gather feedback on the app's accessibility, ensuring it's user-friendly. This could include assessing whether users find it easy to navigate, the adequacy of time length, and any issues related to accidental menu selections.
User Interview
Tell me about yourself, what’s your disability, and how long you been at it?
My disability is motor syndrome, and I've been fighting it for more than a year now.
How would you like the content to be displayed?
Well, I'd like the content to be really straightforward. Bullet points are great, and important notes should stand out. Large text helps a lot. I'd like to see simple download instructions – no complicated steps. And real people, real stories – show me others like me who are in the game; it's powerful. A rating for ease of use on games? That's a must-have. It's all about clear, no-fuss communication.
How would you like to be able to navigate on the page?
For navigating, my eyes are my joystick. I need buttons spaced well enough so I don't miss click, and scrolling should be intuitive – a smooth glide with the eyes, down to up. When I want to select something, a steady gaze should do the trick. To choose something, a fixed stare is best – it reduces the effort needed and makes the experience smoother.
What features are you looking for in a webpage?
A discussion page is vital – a place to talk, to share with those who get it. A support hotline, something I can ping with my eyes when I hit a bump. And space to pitch game ideas? That would be incredible. As for motivation, a YouTube section featuring people with similar disabilities overcoming challenges would be a real boost. It's about creating a space that feels supportive and inclusive.

After gathering the user requirements and using personas to better understand them, we drew up the sketches to explore ideas on our Web Generator. The sketching was done based on our design principles.
